HELLO
My name is Tressa Versteeg. I am an independent audio producer and writer.
I proudly hail from the midwest and bop from timezone to timezone. Right now, I am on an island in the southern hemisphere. Learn more in my sound diary.
I am graduate of Macalester College and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
NOW
An unlikely story about a far-traveling balloon.
A personal series about memory, age and heartbreak.
Exploring global feminism through women’s soccer.
I have produced work for Lenny Says, WHYY, Wisconsin Public Radio, Wyoming Public Media, The HumaNature Podcast and the out•land•dish Podcast.
BEFORE NOW
In my previous lives, I hand-rolled thousands of croissants and taught kids how to divide fractions and use words.
Once, I wrote the children’s book El Hermano, La Hermana, a La Vaca: a trilingual children's story written in collaboration with elementary students in Bolivia.
Another time, I rode my bike around the Great Lakes with the Solidago Riders. We made videos about community-based change.
